TRIP DETAILS
This adventure includes a hike through the whole W6 trail, and instead of returning the same way, we would go up via ferrata to see the canyon from a unique angle of the wadi of the waterfall
  • Via-Ferrata
    The Route: A protected aerial journey using fixed steel cables and iron rungs to safely traverse the immense sheer cliff face of Jebel Shams. A true vertical mountaineering experience.
  • Hike
    The Journey: Requires a challenging approach and exit hike, combining vertical exposure with spectacular high-altitude trekking above the wadi. A demanding full-body effort.
  • Location
    Jebel Shams: Set in the magnificent 'Grand Canyon of Arabia,' offering unforgettable, sweeping views from Oman’s highest peak. Easily accessible from Muscat/Nizwa. Possible with 2WD
  • Difficulty
    Medium: Requires a good level of fitness and a strong, confident head for heights. The exposure is significant, guaranteeing an immense sense of accomplishment.
  • Season
    Best Season: Trips run between October and May to ensure cooler, safe climbing temperatures. We avoid the extreme summer heat.
  • Equipment
    All necessary top-quality technical gear is provided: Via Ferrata kit, harness, helmet, and gloves. (Participants must bring sturdy hiking boots).
  • Duration
    Half-Day Adventure: A demanding but rewarding commitment of approx. 3-4 hours from safety briefing to completion.
